The waitress was SUPER friendly and attentive. Portions were HUGE. I couldn't even finish my plate, which is rare. I got the 3 entree platter...Cajun meatloaf (I'd pass next time), pork chops, catfish, okra, dirty rice, and hushpuppies. Greens would have been a nice option but I realize this is a Cajun joint not southern. Various dipping sauces were offered. I could have used more seasoning on my choices but it was overall good & worth a visit. They apologized for being down a cook but it really wasn't much of a wait at all.

The waitress/cashier was super. Friendly, efficient and took excellent care of us. Considering she was the ONLY waitress and it got busy with pretty much all tables full, I was much impressed. She never lost her smile. The food! Dee-lish-us! I recommend the mini-platters, though they're anything but. I had to bring some good home cause I couldn't eat it all. Decor could be refreshed but I would Definitely Recommend this place.

The staff here was friendly and prompt. We had 12 people dining in and ordered a lot of food. It was all delicious. We ordered a little bit of everything and it was all delicious. We ordered da swamp as an appetizer which was enough for all 12 of us to get a taste of everything.. My favorite items were crawfish, gator bites, the jambalaya rice, and their pork chops were amazing. I wanna note that this restaurants atmosphere does not represent their food. The building itself needs some serious remodeling, no AC, fans everywhere, ceiling fan sounded like it was going too fall and just to generalize it looks really rough. I highly recommend not to judge this book by its cover and help their business up so they can make it look as good as it tastes!

My husband and I had the catfish, fries and okra…best food ever. I am not a okra fan, and theirs are the only ones I will eat. Service is amazing as well. We keep going back and are never disappointed!!!

I'm in town visiting friends so I've never been here. The lady who waited on us was amazing. It was a tough day, her help called in and she still took great care of us and always had a smile on her face. Please give them a try, small businesses like these are so important. Loved the food.

Had been wanting to try them for a while and I feel let down. First, the service was great, but the catfish po boy was not. No flavor at all. Had the red beans and rice was really good. So 50/50 Second trip was on point with the fried pork chop. Lots of flavor, fired hard how like it . Ate it three days in a row.

In Wichita for a couple of nights. Browsing Google Maps for a nearby place to eat and ran across Da Cajun Shak. I love Jambalaya, gumbo, and red beans & rice. I’m no Cajun food connoisseur. I just like the food. Drove over and found they had a sampler option which allowed me to get two entrees (Red Beans & Sausage and Chicken Gumbo) and three sides (two jambalayas and hush puppies.) Service was friendly and fast and they tossed in some hot sauce with my order. Headed back to my hotel room to enjoy my little feast. It was really good all the way around. I would definitely recommend this place. I can eat a lot but had to make myself stop about 3/4 of the way through. Lots of food for the price ($17).

Still one of my daughters' and my favorite places. We go for the catfish... But I know that many of their other entrees are great too. Not fancy, just good food.
